Red Badge of Courage

Forget everything you think you know about red roses being about "true love."  (Because if that's really all they mean, then it's weird that Greg bought them for my mom.)  This week, we found another meaning: courage.  They are reminding us to have courage when faced with Mom's diagnosis, courage to fight as hard as the chemo drugs are fighting, and courage to ask for the support we need from those around us, including recommendations for a cleaning service and favors from friends.  Lastly, it reminds us to have the courage to be honest with each other about our feelings, no matter how raw, scary, happy, or sad.  We invite you to be courageous with us.
